A Retreat Invitation from Mukti: A Call to Courage
More than a call to any particular role or pursuit, the great spiritual call is to the discovery and expression of one’s essential being. To respond to this call does not take fearlessness, but it does take great courage. Your response requires a willingness that is total—a willingness to cease referencing all prior knowledge in thought, as well as a willingness to give the full measure of yourself to what remains.
In a moment of simplicity and quiet courage, it is possible to offer all of yourself to the sacred mystery within your depths, to that domain beyond the grasp of thoughts and ideas. When there is no margin left of you to remain apart and to remain invested in a separate, egoic identity, union in Spirit comes to fruition.
The mystery of Spirit has birthed you as a vital and brilliant expression of form and calls to you from your depth as a yearning, an urging, or as quiet curiosity. When you have the courage to turn toward that call and to see through all excuses and resistance which obscure its draw, you can follow the call home to Source. This is the calling each of us is born to.
Entering spiritual retreat is to respond to this sacred call from within, and to unite with others in a common intention to give ourselves to depth. I invite you to join me in this weekend silent retreat. Together we can bring about conditions for the quiet curiosity and whole-hearted attention that support abiding in depth. I’ll be speaking of acts of courage within spiritual practice that are informed by and in service to profound union with the infinite Source of all.
“After listening to Mukti’s guided meditation in the Sunday Community gathering, her connection with the earth reaches into my heart—simply palpable. Mukti’s understanding and merging of Self-realization and Self-knowledge within the human—spirit and humanity—is a way home.” ~ J. M. (Testimonial from a participant.)
Sharing retreat with Mukti is an opportunity to be supported by her nurturing and welcoming qualities and her deep transmission of stillness. Her teachings focus on creating conditions that foster the organic unfolding of conscious awareness where energies that arise can be met, allowed, and transformed. Encouraged by her deep respect for each person’s expression as human and divine, her retreatants have formed new and beautiful relationships to thoughts, feelings, and emotions, as well as a deeper receptivity to spirit.
Mukti also brings a special perspective, being Adyashanti’s first student! Stories of her journey of Self-realization are invaluable and bring a fresh feminine take on many of Adya’s pointers. Her invitation to us all is generous and powerful—that of “Spirit coming to know and express itself in our human life.” We hope you take this opportunity to explore and learn from her intimate teachings.
