In this talk, Adya points to the basic truth that there is one simple, fundamental understanding of what self-realization, awakening, enlightenment is all about—everything is the infinite mystery. That’s all that exists. He talks of our tendency to see something wrong in our experience and points to the natural peace, happiness, and love that arises when we leave that conflicted self behind. In answering questions from students, Adya explores the freedom in and fear of letting go of control, navigating choice and experience, and inquiries around suicide.

Quote from this talk: “Your intuitive, visceral awakening to the realization that everything is the infinite mystery is the infinite mystery. Your experience of forgetting that realization and thinking you lost it is also the infinite mystery. And if you think that one of those experiences is more the infinite mystery than another one, then you haven’t realized thoroughly that everything is the infinite mystery—everything means everything.”
